SSI course guide
A good next step is not determined by the longest course list, but by your experience and what you want to achieve underwater. This overview helps you place the four available SSI programmes in context.
Orientation
Someone experiencing diving for the first time needs a different programme from a certified diver preparing for a trip. Your existing education, practical experience and the specific goal you want to achieve with the course are decisive.

Concise answers to help place the available programmes in context.
No. SSI Try Scuba is intended as a first guided experience of diving in a pool and does not require an existing diving certification.
No. Referral Diver covers the planned theory and pool education. The open-water training dives and later Open Water Diver certification are not included.
No. The available SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40 consists of e-learning, personal classroom instruction and practical gas analysis without a pool session.
This depends on the trip profile and your current education. Nitrox is particularly relevant for many liveaboards; Deep Diving can be useful where greater depths are planned. The operator's requirements remain binding.
